ChildHood Movies

So here is 4 of my favourite movies..
Well as you can read? Today's blog is all about childhood (is it one word or two or both hmm) MOVIES. Yes one thing everyone loves is movies especially the old ones that you grew up watching.
So here is 4 of my favourite movies..

That's right Monsters Inc. I always did like the purple lizard and the one eyed green thing. I'm really y bad at names so I have no idea what they are called and I cant be bothered to google it.
Also very exciting news is that MONSTERS INC UNIVERSITY COMES OUT THIS FRIDAY YES I REPEAT THIS FRIDAY SO I SUGGEST YOU ALL GO AND SEE IT AND RE-LIVE YOUR CHILDHOOD, also I was 2 when that came out wow.
I'm not even kidding when I say I found out about this movie last year when I was looking up free movies on youtube I know how cheap of me. Anyway I literally love this movie!! seriously guys sterling knight is in it! (he isn't that hot but near enough) what I love is this reminds me of the guy I saw in London, he looked like Sterling but nothing to do with the story.
Finding Dory? NO thank you I'll stick to finding Nemo. Everyone loves this movie and cant wait for finding dory if it comes out but me I don't love it that much as it's a story of a kid who losses their dad and finds him again it's too soppy for me just give a horror film and I'm fine.
So here's the story I go and collect the pictures make this awesome collage of all 3 film poster and what happens it doesn't save -_- #fail <that was weird I will NEVER use a hash tag out of twitter ok sorry. HSM was the school I always wanted to go to but that failed and here I am stuck in a dark place full of people I literally don't like, I'm sure Emma will agree with me when I say I want to walk up to some of them and punch them in the face... Oh wow at how fast I can change subject so lets get back on track. I'm sure most girls had the HSM cheerleading outfit with the poms poms and all and went out for Halloween as one, life was great when this movie appeared in life.
MAYBE one day I could do a video with more movies I liked when I was a child.
It's really hard writing whilst listening to Justin Bieber's album, I wanted to get up and dance but I had to control myself and write this as I haven't wrote a post in AGES.

London 2013!
Hey guys,
Sorry for not posting much lately, as some of you may be aware, we have been in London last week.
It would be months worth of boasting gone to waste if I don't write a post about the trip, so here we go!
We had a really good time, the only major let down for me would be the bus. we were staying in a Premiere Inn (I know, how classy) 40 minutes out of London every morning, and our promised 'first class' bus did not quite go as planned. Yes, they turned up - I'll give them a point for that - but for some un-clearly explained reason they had ditched us by the seconds service station, a few hours into England (if that!). We landed ourselves an overheated, clammy coach that didn't make my days the most comfortable to sit through.
Another let down (I know, I'm sorry, we'll get to the exciting parts soon) was our hotel. So the first night, we arrived and had an hour to get ready for dinner. I took this opportunity to have a shower whilst the others explored. Our bedroom was literally ice cold when we arrived, the heating wouldn't work, so the only way the room heated up was hair-dryer-power! I think a few people had a little bother with the heat of their rooms, but nobody else complained...
The rooms were pretty cramped (three beds to a room) but it was London, so I sort of expected that. We had a bit of bother with our toilet not flushing-which the teachers seemed to find hilarious, I can assure you, it was not funny! :O
Okay, enough moaning from me, on to the good part of the trip, which is just about everything else!
When we arrived we missed our trip to the Science Museum, which nobody was particularly gutted about, instead we were let loose to have lunch (McDonald's for Cayley and I!) before heading to the BBC studios for a guided tour.
The BBC tour was not much of what I expected, I'd prepared myself for bumping into many celebrities and radio DJ's, so I was in for a slight shock. We were searched and our bags were put through metal detectors before we were allowed in, I guess in case we were carrying bombs and what not, we the stood in a viewing area above the news team who you see in the background when watching the news! A lot of the tour was history and stuff, which if I'm honest was pretty boring, unless you like that kind of stuff, but I'm not saying some of the historical facts weren't interesting.
Access was granted to the celeb dressing rooms, but our guide didn't know much about One Direction undressing in those rooms *insert sad face*
Some of us (I say us, not me) were allowed to read the news (it wasn't televised of course) and weather in front of a green screen, which was pretty cool watching them.
On Tuesday, we had a very busy day planned, full of music and food (Mmmm...my two favourite things :P).
We started, however at the V&A (Victoria and Albert museum) which consisted of being kicked out of a glass lift for sitting down in it, and having the bottom of my jeans soaked for running through a huge pond. We didn't look around the museum, to be honest I kind of wish I'd taken more time to look at the 'textiles' section, but I enjoyed myself anyway - the gift shop was big and it was nice and warm in the gardens.
We then visited Harrods, Cayley ventured off to Topshop across the road whilst I took a wander around Harrods for an hour. To me it was like a bigger version of Frasers in Glasgow, maybe triple the price tags and throw a few cute accents into the equation. For obvious reasons (cough, no money, cough) I didn't buy anything out of there, but it was cool to look around and see what all the drama was about. I had forgotten about the animals up on the top floor, so didn't have the chance to see them, but if I ever go in again I'll make sure to have a look :)
Next, to the O2 Arena, for the British Musical Experience. If you haven't heard of this, the only way I can really explain it is 'a hands on, interactive tour of the centuries through British Pop and Music Culture' -wow, that's a bit of a mouthful! I actually decided to pay attention to this one and didn't spend my time in the dance booth. Instead, I had a look into all the different era's and sort of learnt a little. By the 80's I began to recognise some singers so I found it more interesting. As well as a dance booth (where you learn moves that i guess took effect on British music) there was a recording studio-type-room. You were given passes at the beginning which recorded things that you wanted recorded I guess. In this room were guitars and drums, you just played about and recorded you jam. I think there was a proper recording studio for singing, but you'd have to pay me a living member of One Direction to make me go in there (and afterwards you might have to face a few broken glasses and shattered windows) plus the queue was long.
We then had a meal in Piazza, which didn't seem to go down well with everyone, but what can I say, I like pizza :)
Off to the west End where we saw Wicked the musical! I really enjoyed myself. Wicked is the witches from the wizard Of Oz's story, and I think I understand the movie better after seeing that. The actors/actresses were great, and I know what I'll be dressing up as for halloween this year...!
I can't write this without mentioning our very pretty young boy, Harry Styles. No, I'm joking, we didn't really meet Harry, just a lookalike who resembled Harry Styles and Sterling Knight. No joke, this boy was fangirled over for half an hour, even though we'd only caught a glimpse of him...
That day was exhausting, and this time round we didn't attempt to meet up at midnight or get ourselves kicked out the hotel.
Next morning, we missed our drive around London and squeezed in the Science Centre trip that we missed on the first day. Boy oh boy, was this quite some trip, many science-y things to do and see.
Did we do any of those science-y things? No. Did we stalk hot boys instead? Yes.
And to that boy that was with his Dad, on behalf of all of us, we are sorry for humiliating you in front of a family member... :S (That was a story that I'd really like to tell but this post is long already, so I'll keep it for a rainy day)
Next we were let loose in Covent Gardens to do some 'shopping' but we'd decided to skip the shopping and instead made our way to Dancers Inc. and Pineapple Dance Studios. I didn't mind missing out on the shoping, because it's not many days you get to walk in to a shop practically themed around your Idol (Danielle Peazer). In Pineapple we were asked if we came from Ireland, which sorta made my day, unfortunately it was Louis Spence's day off, and if we'd been a day earlier we'd have met him, gutted!
After covent gardens we made our way home, and here's where I'd like to leave you all some tips;
- Eating KFC at 9pm whilst on a 13 hour bus journey isn't a good idea.
- Pretending to be homeless outside service stations earns you no money and a freezing butt.
- Playing 'Take me out' with bus spotlights can distract the driver, and make him angry...
I'd love to live in London one day, in one of the gorgeous £2million flats, working in the city centre, I don't know, that's my dream :)
If I was to go back any time soon I'd either go back with a few friends, or with my Mum. I'd spend the weekend shopping, and maybe go see a musical. Right now, I'd like to see a musical of Matilda (Roald Dahl) or maybe even Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I've uploaded some of my pictures from the trip, click here to see them (or click 'photos!' at the top of the page) and I'll be sure to get Cayley to upload a few soon too. Please be prepared for some bad photography skills, and be warned none of these have been photoshopped yet, and most were taken through a bus window)

Eye C U...
All photos taken with Canon EOS digital by me. |
So, along with millions of others, I've become fascinated with some beauty vloggers on youtube- Tanya Burr and Zoe Sugg to name a few!
What I really like though are Tanya's makeup tuturiols (I'll link a few at the end of this) for example her Perrie Edwards one was great!
Watching these videos has definitely got me more interested in creating new looks, but what this post is going to be about is 'eyes'
I'd never really liked eyeshadow and eyeliner, and I'd always just used a stroke of mascara in the mornings, but after seeing some videos I decided to experiment with some of my eyeshadow and lets say it turned out a lot better than I expected!
I discovered that eyeshadow doesn't need to be confusing or difficult, but it can make a whole lot of difference to a look.
What I Use...
I've dug out this kit from christmas and I have to say the little pots of colour are just amazing. The mascara and pencil eyeliner are rubbish, very clumpy and sticky, but I have nothing wrong with the liquid eyeliner other than the brush has frayed a bit, thus being my own fault. These kits are cheap as chips, and I really would recommend them if you aren't all that into makeup but would still like to have a try at it. It has a mirror in the lid (which, yes, I did accidentally smash...oops) and simply instructions on how to create a simple look and a smoky eye.
Something I love is my Max Factor eyeshadow, dipensed just as a lip gloss in a neutral shade called 'beige pearl' I use this as a base coat to the look I'm about to explain...
How To...
Some tips before we get started;
- It's easy to clean your brushes with soapy water, cleaner brushes are softer, and softer brushes are easier to work with. Cleaning our makeup brushes is something we seem to often forget about although it is very important.
- blend well and make your shades dark to light, with the lightest shade being on the outer lid.
- make sure there is no residue of previous makeup on your eye, you want it as clean as possible to prevent spots, blackheads and that heavy/drowsy feeling.
- Try to avoid getting your makeup on your carpet, and I'm warning you now, if you do, DON'T blame me!
- Don't match the colours of your eye makeup with the colours of your clothing, instead try to use contrasting colours, but the first thing people will notice shouldn't necessarily be your eyes.
Okay, so now that's sorted, pick up to three colours, I've gone for just two this time round, the 'pearl beige' shade from above and a purple pot from my kit.
Apply your base coat from your lash line to your brow bone, if your not sure where these are click here.
It doesn't matter if you make too much mess because its only your base coat, but do try and be fairly neat as it can be a nuisance to get off without ruining everything else!
Next, I would apply the purple, but obviously you use whichever second shade you have chosen. It should be your darkest shade which you apply to the crease of your eye, the inside half. Don't wipe it on or use stroking actions, as this will ruin the colour and blend it with your base coat underneath. Instead, just lightly dab it until it is dark enough.
If you are using a third coat, this is when you would add it, it shouldn't go any further out than the imaginary vertical line between the edge of your eyebrow and the tip of your nose (use a pencil to check if you need to), and dab it on the same way. This shade should be lighter than the second shade, but not as light as your base coat. Once done take a slightly thicker brush to gently sweep over the whole eyelid and blend your colours, don't go overboard with this otherwise all your work will be ruined!
Once you get good you'll be able to do the three-shade eye makeup in seconds, but for during the day you shouldn't need to, it's more of a night look.
If you guys enjoyed this I may do a smoky eyes tutorial next week.

Summer Colour
It's a sunny Saturday afternoon and well of course i am sitting outside hoping for my skin to go a bit more browner than it is. So why not also catch up on those magazines you bought but never had time to read, so i did i went and got last months Vogue and this months and last months Company magazine out and read them.
Whilst tanning and reading all i thought was... what is this years summer colours? i read two magazines basically telling me two different colours and patterns basically. One was White and the other was green (these were the company magazines, June & July issues) seeing as Pastels is quite a summery colour i did think that we would be sticking to them but nope this month it's apparently green! shocking i know seeming as i haven't seen a hint of green in the high street store, well maybe a bit but not racks and racks of green clothes which i do hope not to ever see in the future! I don't think the green trend carried on to the high street. So I'm guessing White was the correct trend?

Happy June!
I'm going to put together a list of my top ten beach-buys from the highstreet this month.
Sandals, Miss Selfridge, £26
Bandeau dress (shown in Coral), New Look, £9.99
Bikini, Topshop, £30
Sunglasses (shown in aqua), River Island, £10
Swimsuit, Dorothy Perkins, £26
There is a mixed reaction right now as to what colours are on trend, but you can never go wrong with your pastels/whites and as I've shown here there is nothing wrong with making a bold pattern statement!

Summers here
So it feels like finally summers here and we didn't get a lot of spring, I'm not writing a post on global warning and how we only had 2 seasons, instead, I'm writing a post on High waisted shorts...well, because they seem summery :)
So I've seen a lot of people raving about these on tumblr, and I do have a pair for London-although mine are darker denim than most and I'd like to say mine are a bit classier.
![]() |
My shorts for London from forever 21 |
Most high waisted shorts that you will see this summer are going to be light denim, frayed at the bottom, which I also love.
Mine are obviously a bit different, (the denim is lighter than in the picture) but they are a navy denim with a red belt from forever 21 at £16.

Hiding in my makeup bag
Hellllooooo
I thought I'd do a post today showing you guys what I have hidden in the makeup bag I use daily, I'm not doing this in any particular order, just literally pulling things out the bag and writing about them-enjoy.
1) Nivea soft intensive moisturising cream. I love this because it leaves your skin feeling super, super soft and unlike others that claim to 'last for up to X amount of days' this actually does! It's great to just rub on after a shower and isn't scented or anything-pure natural goodness! It says you CAN put this on your face, but I'd suggest you buy a facial moisturiser as the skin on your face is very sensitive as I'm sure you already know.
2) Clinique all about lips. My lips are absolutely horrible, but this acts as a lovely moisturising/exfoliation cream that honestly works wonders. It removes any dead skin cells and leaves your lips smooth and soft. It will also help your lipstick last longer if you put a dab of it underneath. I know it's quite pricey (£17) but its well worth it and I'd completely recommend trying it out if you haven't already!
3) max factor masterpiece colour precision eyeshadow-pearl beige. I'm not big on eyeshadow if I'm honest, but this is very pale and easy to use as it is applied with a lipgloss type brush. The colour is slightly shimmery but so faint you can barely notice it, a great first layer to work up a storm of eye creations! I usually just put it on with a thick, vintage black eyeliner and long lash mascara.
4) neutrogena hand cream. Okay, I'm sure I don't need to say much here, you've all heard of it, seen it used it, no? If you haven't I think you must have been living under a rock... This hand cream is amazingM especially as I have such dry, wrinkled old lady hands :P it's not sticky, greasy or slimy, but quite thick and stiff. Once rubbed in, the cream practically evaporates into your cells leaving behind gorgeously smooth hands. You do have to use this quite often though which is my only downside, but other than that it's pretty marvellous stuff.
5) L'oréal Paris super liner luminizer. I have this liquid eyeliner in a very dark shade of brown. When I say its liquid eyeliner the tip it actually a thin sponge and absorbs the eyeliner so there it's practically fool proof and so far so good with me. If your one of those people who can't handle liquid eyeliner but do love the look it can achieve then I'd definitely suggest you give this a go, and the great thing is it takes no time at all to get used to.
That's all I can really be bothered with writing about for now...I also use Rimmel BB cream and Clinique chubby sticks...
I don't really recommend the BB cream, I always feel quite oily with it in and it doesn't give complete coverage.
The 'chubby sticks' on the other hand, well these I would recomend! They don't last all day but the colours are absolutely gorgeous!

Wantworthy and Etsy reviews
Sorry I haven't posted in ages, but I'm back now ;)
Today I'm going to write a short post on two of my favourite sites, Wantworthy and Etsy.
You may not have heard of the first, wantworthy. Basically, it adds a tool to your bookmark bar which allows you to add items to a shopping cart/list. I know it seems pretty basic, but you can use it on any site you want, and then when your finished online shopping every item you like is in one place, ready to save for later.
Okay, the clues in the name, it's really meant to be used when you can't afford the things you like. So it's like a wish list. I use it a lot on my laptop, it becomes really helpful and an easy access tool, I guess I pretty much rely on it now!
Currently, you can only use it on your laptop/computer, but they are working on an app I think, on their website it says you should keep a look out for app announcements which is exciting!
The second is a more common name, Etsy. It is basically an EBay of the fashion world, and much more trustworthy and reliable. I personally love Etsy because you can find some of the cutest things on there, especially jewellery. It is run by separate sellers, like eBay, but you don't find random things...
When I'm on Etsy I tend to look through the jewellery, I first found out about it when someone told me they got Harry Styles' aeroplane necklace off of Etsy, ever since I've been addicted!
Right now I have a rose gold infinity ring from Etsy on my wantworthy list.
Etsy do have an app for iOS and android, which I find handy because who doesn't own a smartphone these days?

Dreams&Goals
Well currently it's 01:29 on a Sunday morning and well I can't sleep so instead I thought I would write blog post...
We all have dreams and goals we want to achieve don't we? I know I have tons and tons but yet again I think most of them aren't possible :( yeah me dancing or getting taught a move by Justin Bieber isn't going to happen but yet again some of my dreams and goals have been achieved/came true like for instant I've always wanted to go to London and guess who's going to London in 43 days, also that me and emma wanted to start a blog now look at us 7 months of blogging and there is more but I just can't remember them. *oops*
But what I'm really saying is that what I've learned is that if you carry on believing then you can achieve your goals and if you work hard enough then your dream will come true!
Short and sweet blog tonight or should I say morning? Oh well

Ombre nails tutorial
I'm really bad at nail art, but recently I've become obsessed with Ombre Nail art. It's a great look and really simple to achieve, so I thought I'd share it with you all!
What you will need:
Steps:
1) use your nail varnish remover to take off anything you currently have on your nails, I like to use nail varnish remover even if I don't have nail polish on because it helps to strengthen them.
2) Paint your base coat, this helps to protect your nails, then paint your first main coat with the lightest colour, let this dry completely.
3) on top of a magazine or a protected surface drip splodges of your colours close to each other but barely touching. Carefully, use your tooth picks to swirl them into each other merging the colours. Try not to blend the colours.
4) dip your sponge into the mixed nail varnish and press onto your nail, do not rub it! You can press it on a few times for more texture and effect.
5) once dry apply your top coat and voila!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and we're sorry we haven't posted in a while.
Love you all, Emma x

MY OOTD
OOTD
Well the picture of me didn't look nice (like all other picture) but this pictures was side ways so it couldn't be used (thanks caitlyn, no really thanks, great photography skills).
But this is a rough copy of what i was wearing today to go shopping.
The top is from topshop apart from mine is blue and a bit longer because it doesn't fit. -£18-£20
The sorts above kind of looks like mine but i without a belt, as you see i don't go for the ones that doesn't cover your butt *sensible me* £12-£15
I am in love with my blazers! I'm not even joking, but since London is 58 days away (not like I'm counting or anything) i do need to keep them in good condition, which there for i have reduced me on wearing them :( -£70
Have you ever heard of Truth? well its a fantastic jewellery shop which does lovely charm bracelets, so today i thought i would wear mine since I've only had it on once because it didn't fit (sorry there is no picture) - nearly £100
But yes i did have a skull ring on today and a bracelet; which i managed to break the rose off of my skull bracelet *shamed face*- and they were both around £10 (i cant remember where i got them from sorry! and they pictures above doesn't really look like them)
but yeah that's it, i will make sure next time i have a proper photo :)
