Well recently I have been trying to get my skin in better condition, I have switched from 'clearasil' once a day to' Simple' twice a day. I find 'clearasil' was too rough on my skin and left it looking red and patchy, I only had to use it at night however because it was so strong there was no way I could use it twice a day! 'Simple' on the other hand is a little too simple! It does reduce my spots and leaves my skin feeling much more fresh, but it leaves my nose looking way too shiny and I have small spots under my skin which it doesn't get rid of. This is annoying because my skin isn't smooth.
Another thing I have tried to help my skin look better is moisturise my face, I know I should have already been doing this but it makes me feel sweaty and I really don't like it, so I have stopped. Also my skin felt greasy from it and I don't think it really worked as well as it should have.
Next, I switched from my foundation to BB cream-it works wonders! Although it is slightly darker than my foundation was so is more noticeable, I really like it. You can't notice my spots under it but its 9 in 1 features stop any more from appearing! I wear it most days but if I'm in a rush I just put on powder.
The other night I had a good idea, that I could wear face masks more often. Making face masks is something me and one of my friends really enjoy doing. When I meet up with her we usually bake, and whilst whatever we've made is in the oven we create face masks and hand cream. Face masks are really revitalising especially if you put slices of cucumber on your eyes!
I was looking for face mask recipes and found one that exfoliates really well. All you do is mix up a table spoon of brown sugar with a teaspoon of either olive oil or coconut oil. I used olive oil because it was already in my kitchen cupboard but I'm sure coconut would smell better!
I wouldn't recommend using this too much because although your skin feels amazingly smooth and super, it can lead to being greasy, I had my first one on in the bath so I could wash it off as soon as I was done. Wear the mask for about twenty minutes if you really want it to work properly..oh, and DON'T lick to off your lips!
You can find really good recipes online for face masks, but make sure you know you can trust it, like I knew the sugar would help exfoliate my skin, but if a recipe looks suspicious, chances are it won't be good. (I really like the avocado one on ask.com)
