Skater dresses

So as I've mentioned on more than one occasion before, it's coming up to Christmas! Today I want to talk about Skater Dresses, which are bound to be worn by girls around the snow globe at parties this cold year.
Basically skater dresses are not for formal occasions, but not for everyday wear either. You should probably wear yours to a disco or party, or even out clubbing (if your old enough)!at weekends.
I know for a fact Cayley is wearing a black Skater Dress to our Christmas party (I'm wearing a Hollister skirt and navy see through Hollister top) with her creepers, I'm sure she won't be the only one- not including her twin, Caitlyn.
Skater dresses are great in block colours, but it really depends on what your wearing it to. If your going to a birthday party, perhaps a dark blue or pink, at Christmas black or burgundy would be nice. With any of these colours, go for a thin metallic belt like gold.
Okay, so I've told you what colours are ideal, and I've told you when to wear a skater dress, but now for the shoes! Personally I think shoes with a chunky heel should be worn with a skater dress, but you have to take in mind that its a 'skater' dress, so when picking your shoes, ask yourself if its possible to skateboard in them, that is the key between looking like a clown and being in the spotlight. If you wear super six inch heels you will perhaps be frowned at (or have people looking up and frowning at you!). Creepers or sparkly TOMS would be nice.
