Cayley had a moan at me today (just kidding, she never moans....boring lass) because I haven't got round to doing my ten facts yet. So without further ado, here they are!
1) my face is red. I have pale skin, my skin doesn't seem to realise that though. People always say to me "ooh your face is all red," or "someone you like must have walked past, your all embarrassed" I (usually) resist the temptation to tell them their eyeliner isn't for eyebrows, and that orange isn't a good look, but it gets so annoying. I just want to SCREAM half the time.
2) I walk along the street having future conversations with people in my head, and then stop because I think I've been opening my mouth and actually mouthing the words, then for the rest of the day I sit panicking in case people saw me, or worse, people I know think I'm crazy (that may be quite true..).
3) when the teacher is reading the register I always practise saying 'here' in my head. I'm worried I'll miss my name and they'll mark me absent. I've tried to stop doing it recently, but honestly, I'm waiting on the day I say something stupid like 'bonjour' or 'present'.
4) I have a love for accents, if your English, American, French or Irish, I love you! I'm really bad at geography, so there is probably many more undiscovered countries out there that I have no idea about, and whom have amazing accents!
5) when I'm older I want to be one or many things; fashion designer, journalist, vogue editor, event organiser, own a magazine or be a stay at home mum (unlikely, I need things to keep me going). I also want to take a gap year between secondary school and College/Uni to travel to third world countries and do voluntary charity work. I had this thought last summer when I wanted to volunteer at dogs trust, but they said I was too young. I knew I wanted to take a gap year, and charity work is perfect, it might not always seem this way, but I love to solve problems and help others, the media gives such a strong feeling that more work needs to be done, and this is a perfect way for me to get hands on experience. It could also be good for my CV, and it would give me a good reality check on how much I've got compared to others.
6) I'm really not that sporty, I do compulsory PE three times a week, but next year that will drop to one/two. I go to the gym for an hour once a week and occasionally go out failed runs with one of my friends. Our runs tend to turn into speed walks and usually result in us getting lost. The only sport I'd say I'm averagely good at is athletics, but I'd really like to get into ballet. At a very young age I participated in dancing and gymnastics, ballet stopped at seven though, and gymnastics stopped at age eleven.
7) I'm obsessed with the 'home design 3D' app (for apple products, it might be on the android market, I'm not sure) I build huge, elaborate mansions and get depressed because a) it makes me realise how boring my house is, and b) I know it would cost millions, ...no billions, to build such mansions. I also find houses for sale in nice areas, take their room sizes and stuff off the Internet and try to build them, it's quite fun, but an unusual hobby. You know fact 5, yes the one about what I'd like to be when I'm older, add interior designing to that list.
8) if I was on a dessert island, and could only take one thing, other than the clothes on my back, I would take my phone, so I could blog to you all! (In the hope I have signal, and that my mum doesn't forget about me, and continues to pay my bill every month!)
9) at the exact moment I was born, Robbie Williams 'let me entertain you' came on the radio. I was told that by my Mum, and think its pretty cool, but I'm not much of an entertainer, more of a general annoyer :P
10) last and final fact, again I guess ties in with number 5. Two of my friends and I went to a club where you designed your own clothes and made them, yes I'm sure there are a few of those clubs around. Well, it was okay to start with, but the class had no structure and was very, very highly priced, so of course, we quit. We started are own mini club, that we do every Thursday at each others houses, we called our club HEM (our initials) and so far have decorated a huge cardboard sign for our club, made jammies from scratch, spent full nights gossiping and done pages after pages of fashion sketches. Last week we tried different outfits on a mannequin, and tomorrow night we will probably do the same. We are going to eventually get round to making cushions (easy peasy, lemon squeezy) and plan to take a trip to a fabric shop to stock up on materials. If you have any ideas of unique, crazy projects, feel free to leave a comment below!
Okay, so that's my strange, boring life.
Emma x :)
